The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ruth Dillaman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Sharon (Jones) Simmons
Condolence: Thank you, Ruth, for your compassion. I was a rookie English teacher when I moved to Sistersville. The warm, loving environment at Sistersville High School fostered my growth as a teacher and as a human being. Principal Fred Smith, fellow English teacher Ruth Dillaman, dearest neighbor Doris Lohri, knowledgeable librarian Ruth Gilligan, memorable 10th grade students and Student Council members (Rob, David, Worden, Sandy, Ann) fill my heart and mind after all these years and myriad adventures. A single year enriched my life so much.

Condolence: Dear Walter and family,
We were saddened to learn of Ruth's passing and so sorry we were not able to make it to the visitation. We were out of town and just got back yesterday. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed.

Condolence: A great English teacher and a greater human being. Mr. And Mrs. Dillaman visited my workplace about once a year. I would introduce them to my co-workers and tell them Mrs. Dillaman was my English teacher. They would always ask if I was a good student and Mrs Dillaman would just smile and my co-workers loved that. We did that for 20 years. Take care, Mrs. Dillaman.

Condolence: Walter and family, we are so sorry for your earthly loss. As I have and had told my children when their father passed, you may not be able to touch them but you can always talk to them. I have always thought John answered and I am sure Ruth will also. Our deepest prayers for the entire family.
