Harry Ely "Junior"  Joy
Joy, Harry “Junior” E., 83, of New Martinsville, WV went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 20, 2014 while at Genesis New Martinsville.

“Junior” was born June 17, 1931 in Paden City, WV son of the late Harrison and Trissia (Barr) Joy.

He was a retired welder for Sistersville Tank Works, a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, loved collecting several different items, was a handyman and loved the outdoors and was a member of the Muddy Creek Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Donna Swiger; four sisters, Dolly Patterson, Betty Henderson, Phyllis Richeson and Deloris Richeson and brother Otis Joy.

Surviving are his wife with whom he celebrated sixty-one years of marriage on July 17th, Nelda Joy; three son, Gary Joy of Pulaski, TN, Richard (Trish) Joy of Kent, WV and James Joy of New Matamoras, OH; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City where services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2014 with Jonathan Kerns officiating.

Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens.

Honor Guard will conduct graveside services.

Memorial contributions may be made, in “Junior” name, to the Muddy Creek Church of Christ.
