Obituary for Jean Devaughn Dailey (Hays)

Dailey, Jean D., 95, of Paden City, WV went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at her home while surrounded by her family.

Jean was born July 22, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA daughter of the late William and Eva (Swiger) Hays.

She was a retired cup setter for Corning Glass, a homemaker and member of the Paden City Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny L. Dailey; son, John Lawson Dailey; daughter, Eva Jane Jones; two sisters, Louise and Ardith “Art” and brother, Paul.

Surviving are two daughters, Shirley (John) Myers of New Martinsville, WV and Jo Ellen (Glen) Slider of Paden City, WV; nine grandchildren, John (Vicky) Myers, Jeff (Lisa) Myers, Michelle (Tommy) Leonard, Bill Lallathin, Toni (Bob) Wells, Chris Jones, Kelly (Dave) Schultheis, Kathy (Scott) Goins and Scott Dailey; twenty-three great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 5-8 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City where service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2014 with Rev. Adrian Cowgill officiating.

Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens.
