Nice, Thomas Richard, 81, of New Martinsville, WV passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital.

“Tom” was born July 5, 1933 in New Martinsville son of the late Lawrence and Mae (Speece) Nice.

He was retired from the former Ormet Corp., an avid sportsman. While at Magnolia High School, he lettered in football and baseball. He coached for many years with the New Martinsville Little League. He was a Veteran of the Army and Air Force during the Korean Conflict, member of the New Martinsville American Legion Marne Post 28 and New Martinsville Moose Lodge #931.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-six years, Ola Belle (Goff) Nice; two daughters, Sherry Nice Christen and Connie Nice; son, Wayne Nice all of New Martinsville, WV; four grandsons, Patrick (Lydia) Christen of Frisco, TX, Jason Christen of Fort Worth, TX, Michael Christen of New Martinsville, WV and Tyler Nice of New Martinsville; three great granddaughters, Kara (Jason) Christen of Denton, TX, Rachel (Jason) Christen of White Settlement, TX and Adrianna (Patrick) Christen of Frisco, TX sister, Charlotte, (Arlos) Hinkle of New Martinsville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 5-8 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015 and 2-4 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2015 with Pastor Dale Hostuttler officiating.

Interment to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.

Full military service will be conducted by the Honor Guard.
