Mary Louise Loehr, 92, of New Martinsville, WV went to look for her car keys on Thursday, November 12, 2015.

Mary Louise was born April 4, 1923 in New Martinsville, WV daughter of the late Moses and Mary (Younis) Thomas. She was a homemaker, a lifetime member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in New Martinsville, an avid bridge player and for many years, a talented vocalist.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Loehr; two brothers, Patrick and Thomas Thomas; three sisters, Josephine Thomas, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Thomas and Imogene “Barney” Thomas.

Surviving are her children, Mary M. (Fred) Wilcox of New Martinsville, WV, Thomas (Linda) Loehr of Charleston, WV, John (Gwen) Loehr of Charlottesville, VA, Elizabeth (Wayne) Metheny of Kingston, TN, Patricia Jo (Thomas) Scarr of Huntington, WV and Jacalyn S. (Rhea) Hinkle of Washington, PA; sister-in-law, Marilu Thomas; fifteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, her friend and companion, Charlene Lemley and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, November 14, 2015 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2015 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, New Martinsville, with Rev. John P. McDonough as celebrant. Interment to follow in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV.
