Obituary for Gladys Marie Ferrebee (Templeton)

Gladys Marie Ferrebee, 72, of Paden City, WV died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at her home.

Gladys was born January 6, 1944 in Paden City, WV, daughter of the late Elwood and Hilda G. (Richmond) Templeton.

She was a homemaker, previously worked at the A.I. Boreman Elementary School and the Home Store both in Middlebourne, WV, graduate of Tyler County High School Class of 1962, member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Unit 67 in Sistersville, Paden City Eagles Auxiliary and Director for the WV Oil and Gas Festival and member of the Paden City Church of the Nazarene where she served on the Prime Timers Committee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger Templeton, Terry L. Templeton and Daniel Templeton and sister, Nelda Jane Martin.

Surviving are her husband of twenty-seven years, Wade Ferrebee of Paden City; three children, Mike (Carissa) Spencer of Middlebourne, WV, Kaye Lynn(Christopher) Gresham of Buffalo, NY and Timothy (Amy) Spencer of San Diego, CA; step-children, Lisa (Ronnie) Young and Ernie Ferrebee both of Paden City, WV; three brothers, Arnold (Melba Jean) Templeton of Middlebourne, WV, Virgil (Mary) Templeton of Paden City, WV and Charles (Robin) Templeton of Middlebourne, WV; two sisters, Darlene (Roger) Blizzard of Middlebourne, WV and Karen (Charles “Dean”) Goddard of Paden City, WV; grandchildren, Brittany, Tiffany and Tyler Spencer, Jessica and Kelsey Hart and Allyson (Joseph), Ryan, Monica and Emma Spencer; step-grandchildren, Kayla (Ronald), Ryan (Lezlie) and Kelly; great grandchild on the way; four step-great grandchildren, Skyler, Jozie, Azlynne and Tony and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 1-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City. Visitation on Monday, February 1, 2016 will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Paden City Church of the Nazarene with pastors Scott Mapes and “Gene” Helmick co-officiating.

Interment to be held at the convenience of the family.
