James “Jim” Dale Winters, 75, of New Martinsville, WV went to be with his Lord, Thursday, March 10, 2016 very suddenly while at Wheeling Hospital.
“Jim” was born July 29, 1940 in Fairmont, WV, son of the late Lester and Louise (Gray) Winters.
He was a retired dock operator for the former Ormet Corporation, graduate of Sistersville High School, member of New Martinsville Moose Lodge #931, Sistersville Veterans of Foreign War Post 6327 and Sistersville B.P.O.E. Lodge #333, member of New Martinsville United Methodist Church and he loved watching his grandchildren play sports.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Winters and Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Herbert and Evelyn (Morris) Schupbach.
Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Nina Schupbach Winters; son, Michael “Mike” Herbert (Becky Toman) Winters; two daughters, Diana “Dee Dee” Louise (Steve) Estep and Rebecca “Becky” Evelyn (Dr. Ben) Kocher all of New Martinsville, WV; brother, Gary Winters of Rock Hill, SC; sister, Helen (Roy) Shreves of Washington Lands, WV; the loves of his life were his ten grandchildren, Michael James Winters, Marcus Frank Winters, Andrew James Estep, Mitchell Edward Winters, Evalyn “Evan” Nicole Estep, Bailey Suzanne Estep, Kathryn “Katie” Evelyn Kocher, Madelyn “Mady” Rebecca Winters, Braden “Brady” James Kocher and Carson John Kocher, his beloved dogs, Macy, Muffin and Mally and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received noon – 6 p.m., Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 with Pastor Mike Shank officiating.
Interment to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
