Obituary for Fred Martin "Bud" Raper

Fred “Bud” Martin Raper, Jr., of Paden City, WV went to meet his Lord Friday, March 25, 2016 while at Sistersville General Hospital. He was a loving husband, father and pappy who was loved immeasurably in return.

Bud was born February 25, 1929 in Paden City, WV, son of the late Fred M. and Addie S. (Williamson) Raper, Sr.

He was a retired supervisor for PPG, member of Paden City Volunteer Fire Department, helped with Baseball Little League in Paden City, attended Paden City High School, served as an Elder and a member of Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lenora Shriver Henderson and Evelyn Hissom.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, Pansy (Henry) Raper; two sons, Neil (Deanna) Raper of Boyce, VA and Tim (Nancy) Raper of Paden City, WV; daughter, Kimberly (Randy) Kehrer of Sistersville, WV; sister, Pearl Bowen of Canton, OH; eight grandchildren, Allison, Brandon, Trent, Jarrod, Matthew, Hunter, Boone and Millie; five great grandchildren, Carlee, Lilly, Evie, Tristan and Jayce and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV where services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2016 with Dale Dudgeon officiating.

Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Bud’s name, to Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church, 1596 Paden Fork Rd., New Martinsville, WV 26155.
