Laura “Aunt LaLa” Lenora Stansberry, 48, of New Martinsville, WV lost her courageous battle to cancer Monday, May 2, 2016 while at her home surrounded by her family.

Laura was born November 29, 1967 in New Martinsville, WV, daughter of the late Rex and Ella Mae (Wade) Stansberry.

She was a cashier at Rite Aid, participated with Relay for Life, loved animals and to sew and attended the Living Waters Baptist Church in Sardis, OH.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Danny Wade and two brothers, Gordon and Charlie Stansberry.

Surviving are her son, Justin Michael (Amanda McKinney) Stansberry of Wellsburg, WV; brother, Chris Stansberry of New Martinsville, WV; four sisters, Regina (Aaron) Stout of Barnesville, OH, Melissa (Donald) O’Neil and Melinda Stansberry both of New Martinsville, WV and Angela (Greg) McDonald of Ellenboro, WV; grandchild, Temprince Stansberry; special friend, Windy Huggins who has traveled extensively with her; her dog, Roscoe and cat, Snowball and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where services will be held 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016 with Pastor Darrell Mayfield officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family, in the Limestone United Methodist Church Cemetery near New Martinsville, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Laura’s name, to Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV 26155.
