Dorothy Eloise Wade, 92, of New Martinsville, WV formerly of Weirton, WV died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 while surrounded by her family.

Eloise was born April 4, 1924 on Fairview Ridge near Wileyville, WV, daughter of the late Russell S. and Olive M. (Dakan) Rose.

She was a former sales clerk for the former Grant’s department store, later was the office manager for various doctors, a homemaker, a graduate of Magnolia High School Class of 1941 and charter member of the Evangel Baptist Church in Weirton, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Bill” Wade; sister, Ruth Rose and brother, Jack Rose.

Surviving are two sons, David G. Wade of Kingsland, GA and Ronald E. (Sharon) Wade of Colliers, WV; daughter, Shirley A. Little of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Friends received 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2016 and 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV with Pastor Timothy Colvin officiating.

Interment to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Eloise’s name, to the Evangel Baptist Church, 204 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV 26062.
