Jack Lee Glover, 78, of Paden City, WV, went to his reward on Saturday, July 23, 2016, while at Wheeling Hospital. He was born March 3, 1938, in Alvy, WV, son of the late Ernest and Columbia (Nixon) Glover.
Jack was a member of the Paden City Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for 35 years, and he used to preach at various congregations within the Ohio Valley. He maintained a religious website, biblestudypage.com. Jack was a retired lab technician for Union Carbide, served as a Paden City councilman for eight years and was a former EMT with the Paden City ambulance squad. He was a 1955 graduate of Tyler County High School, loved woodworking and researching family genealogy, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are: his wife of 53 years, Barbara (Kerns) Glover; four sons, Randy (Doris) Glover of Pittsburgh, PA, Danny (Kimberly) Glover of Manassas, VA, Mark (Tricia) Glover of Shelbyville, TN, and Darren (Pamela) Glover of Buckhannon, WV; 14 grandchildren, Megan (Clem), Ethan, Mitchell, Anthony, Elli, Catie, Lexy, Niko, Anya, Corey (Anna), Drew (Shannon), Haden, Carter and Tate; two great- grandchildren, Jackson and one that will arrive January 2017; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the Jarvis- Williams Funeral Homes in Paden City, where service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2016, with Brian Price and Morris âMoã Hafley co-officiating.
Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.
