Obituary for Harlan D. "Butch" Kittle

Harlan “Butch” Kittle, 72, of New Martinsville, WV died Thursday, September 01, 2016 while at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

“Butch” was born December 31, 1943 in Detroit, MI, son of the late Harlan H. and Sadie Copeland.

He was a chemical operator for the former Bayer Corp.,veteran in the U.S. Air Force, member of the Eagles Club in Moundsville, WV, American Legion Post #28 in New Martinsville, New Martinsville Moose Lodge #931, he loved to hunt, fish and local sporting events (where he was known as “Big Poppa Kittle”) and member of the Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Goldie Kittle and daughter, Brenda Kittle.

Surviving are his wife of forty-two years, Barbara “Vickie” (Williamson) Kittle; three sons, Michael Kittle of New Martinsville, WV, Steven Kittle and Donald (Paris) Hyde both of Moundsville, WV; three daughters, Kimberly Yoho of Moundsville, WV, Vickie Lynn Eisenhauer of Clarington, OH and Deeana Kittle of Baytown, TX; two brothers, Bob (Kathy) Kittle of Michigan and George (Beth) Bertram of Cameron, WV; sister, Linda (Mike) Burkey of Cameron, WV; fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren; a faithful canine, Abby and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 3-8 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV, where service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, September 5, 2016 with Pastor Holley Faulkner officiating.

Interment in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
