Obituary for Willard Lee Ahrens

Willard Lee Ahrens, 84, of Paden City, WV went home to meet his Lord on Monday, October 31, 2016 while at Wheeling Hospital.

Willard was born March 4, 1932 in Paden City, WV, son of the late George and Hazel (Rohrer) Ahrens.

He was a retired postal worker with thirty-four years of service, a U.S. veteran who served four years in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, avid sports fan, loved gardening and life time member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where he held several offices.

Surviving are his brother, Paul Ahrens of Paden City, WV; five nieces and nephews, Michael, Christine, Rebecca, Sandra and Daniel and many friends.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2016 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church with Pastor Sheri Kernik officiating.

Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City.

Honor Guard to conduct military graveside service.
