Obituary for Henry Ford "Bunny" Hartman

Henry F. “Bunny” Hartman, 91, of Hannibal, OH died at home, Wednesday, December 14, 2016, while surrounded by his loving family.

Bunny was born in Sardis, OH on September 10, 1925 to John “Will” and Florence (Carr) Hartman.

He was an ironworker and member of Ironworkers Local Union No. 549, served in the US. Navy from 1941 – 1945 and seventy year member of the Hannibal American Legion Post 760, lifetime member of Duffy VFW Post 9930 and member of Hannibal United Methodist Church, loved being on his riding lawnmower and watching cartoons with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Louise Hartman, William “Bud” Hartman, Helen “Sissy” Raper, Dorothy “Mikie” Rist, George “Newtz” Hartman, Susie Schmidt, Mildred “Poodle” Harper and great grandson, Lukas Dietz.

Surviving are his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Margaret Dulaney Hartman; three daughters, Connie (Jon) Irvin and Cindy Ritchie both by Hannibal, OH and Carol (Raymond) Mainenti of Morgantown, WV; five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; two sisters, Emma “Pigge” Chick of Canton, OH and Frances Evelyn “Jackie” Brooks of Woodsfield, OH, several grand dogs, Jack, Bubba and Coco and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV with Pastor Steve Rice officiating.

Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Emma Grove Cemetery in Hannibal, OH.
