Obituary for George Foutty

George Stephen Foutty, 72, of New Matamoras, OH went home Monday, February 20, 2017 while surrounded by his family at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

George was born November 10, 1944 at Sistersville, WV, son of the late George A. and Jeanette (Smittle) Foutty.

He was a retired carpenter with F&S Construction; he served in the Army Reserves, loved wood working and spoiling his grandchildren and a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dottie Kay (Lisk) Foutty.

Surviving are his wife of nineteen years, Lugene (Graham) Foutty; son, Stephen T. (Kara) Foutty of Newport, OH; daughter, Leslie A. Cisler of New Matamoras, OH; two step-daughters, Katie (Spencer) Kimble of Williamstown, WV and Ashley (Matt) Moore of New Martinsville, WV; sister, Janet (Tim) Schwall of Woodsfield, OH and eight grandchildren, Ford, Harley, Seth, Heath, Bo, Cole, Lainey and Luke and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 10 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV.

Private interment in the Mehrerly Cemetery in Fly, OH at the convenience of the family.

The family would prefer memorial contributions made to the Strecker Cancer Center, 401 Matthew St., Marietta, OH 45750.
