Mildred Maine Morgan, 83, of New Martinsville, WV died peacefully on April 28, 2017 at home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 28, 1933 in Wood County, WV and was a 1951 graduate of Magnolia High School. She was a member of New Martinsville United Methodist church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 50. Mildred loved to read, knit and make quilts.

In addition to her parents, Samuel Maine and Florence Taylor, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob P. Morgan in 1975.

She is survived by her six children (two daughters and four sons): Carla Girtman (Jim) of Kissimmee, FL; Karen Taylor (Galen) of Paris, TX; N. Keith Nelsen (Sue) of New Martinsville; N. Kelly Nelsen (Susie) of New Martinsville; Ack Morgan (Dee) of Sistersville; Jacob Morgan (Sylvia) of New Martinsville. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, Hilary Girtman, Eric Girtman, Joshua Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Nick Nelsen, Courtney Tuel, N. Kent Nelsen, Traci Bosley, Isaac Winland, Holly Giovinazzo and Morgan Morgan and twelve great grandchildren.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in New Martinsville where service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017 with Pastor Andy Tuel officiating.

Interment to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
