Lowell Everett Drain, 85, of Paden City, WV went to be with his Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017.

Lowell was born February 26, 1932 in the Tyler County side of Paden City, son of the late Arlie V. and Pearl Fay (Smallridge) Drain.

He worked for the power company in Weirton, for the former Shackleford Maytag in New Martinsville and later retired from Mobay. He was a member of the Wesleyan Church of Paden City.

In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Peggy; two brothers, Robert and James; sister, Betty Jean Drain Brookover and two special uncles, Wayman and Walter Smallridge.

Lowell married Iris Mae Jobes, his high school sweetheart in 1951 and on June 30, 2017 they celebrated their sixty-sixth wedding anniversary.

In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by four sons, Robert Lee (Sharon) Drain of Pt. Pleasant, WV, Kenneth Gail (Mary) Drain of Pennsboro, WV, Mark Everett Drain of McGill, NV and James R. (Kim) Drain of Paden City, WV. He was the proud grandfather of sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City where service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 with Reverend Bernie Pennington officiating.

Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.
