Obituary for Guy Richard Estep

Guy R. Estep, 83, of Paden City, WV died Sunday, August 6, 2017 while at Wheeling Hospital.

Guy was born December 5, 1933 in St. Joseph Settlement in Marshall County, WV, son of the late Sylvester “Doc” and Helena (Hawkey) Estep.

He was a retired meat cutter for the former Doak’s IGA, in his younger days he loved hunting and fishing and in his later years his fondness changed to WVU Football and antique cars and member of the Paden City Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Regina and Kate and two brothers, Lew and Bernard.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-eight years, Anna Jean Estep; daughter, Susan (Steven) Kisner of Paden City, WV; son, Rick (Tina) Estep of New Martinsville, WV; sister, Dorothy Maury of New Martinsville, WV; three grandchildren, Jessica (Michael) Owens, Brooklynn Estep and Holland Estep; great grandson, Kale Owens, faithful feline friend, Ivory and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV where service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 10, 2017 with Brian Price officiating.

Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Guy’s name, to the Paden City Volunteer Fire Dept., 208 W Main St., Paden City, WV 26159.
