Obituary for Wallace E. "Wally" Kendall

Wallace “Wally” E. Kendall, 81, of Reader, WV died Friday, April 20, 2018 while at Genesis New Martinsville.

Wally was born July 4, 1936 in Jacksonburg, WV; son of the late Clyde and Julia (Duffy) Kendall.

He was a retired Assistant Chemist at Bayer Corp, loved wood-working and gardening; favorite hangout was Bob Evan’s and a member of the Reader Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Kendall; sister, Verna Potts; sister-in-law, Karen Fisher Tennant and four brothers-in-laws, Boyd King, Frank Tennant, Bill Tennant and Joe Tennant.

Surviving are his wife with whom he celebrated forty-one years on April 8th, Daisy Kendall; sister, Norma Childers of Eleanor, WV; in-laws, Bonnie Tennant of Reader, WV, Martha (Pat) Glasscock of Reader, WV, Mary King of Hepzibah, WV, Marlene Tennant of Reader, WV, Clara (Roy) Eastham of Elk Fork, WV, Lou (Bob) Shreve of Eight Mile, WV, Jim (Corinna) Tennant of Reader, WV, Blanche (Dick) Ferrell of Elk Fork, WV and Sue Bell of Clarksburg, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 3-8 p.m., Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2018 with Rick Tincher officiating.

Interment to follow in Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Hastings, WV.
