Richard “Rick” D. Sidwell, 81, of Paden City, WV died Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home.

Rick was born December 23, 1936 in Zanesville, OH; son of the late Guy S. and Mary (Lindimore) Sidwell.

He was a retired pipefitter for Union Carbide, a U.S. Air Force veteran, he loved golfing, hunting, fishing and watching and supporting his grandchildren play all sports, a fan of WVU and the Steelers and member of the Paden City Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Carol (Stull) Sidwell; son Rick (Beth) Sidwell of Paden City, WV; daughter, Brenda Kay (Doug) Smith of New Martinsville, WV; six grandchildren, Bradley, Christina, Rosh, Caitlyn, Brandon and Razzlyn; four great grandchildren, Willy, Caleb, Roslyn and Renzey; two and half great great-grandchildren, Aizlynne, Brynlee and in January, Rowen; sister, Linda (Kenneth) Stead of Paden City, WV; fur baby and best friend, Buddy and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, WV where service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2018 with Brian Price officiating.

Burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.

Honor Guard will conduct graveside services.
