Melvina “Dick” Marie Melott, 94, of New Martinsville, WV died Sunday, October 14, 2018 at her home.

Dick was born April 15, 1924 in Moundsville, WV; daughter of the late Harold and Lena Richards.

She was a retired cashier for the former Herrick’s IGA, her first job was with Stamping Works in Moundsville, member of the Wetzel County Women’s Democrat Committee, Moundsville VFW Auxiliary and member of New Martinsville Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin C. Melott; son Ervin J. Melott, four brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are three grandsons, Mike (Tama) Melott of Reader, WV, Todd (Carrie) Melott of New Martinsville, WV and Steve Melott of Porters Falls, WV; three great granddaughters, Makayla Melott, McKenzie Melott and Cameron Melott; great grandson, Conner Melott and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018 with Mike Shank officiating.

Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
