Yeager, John “Bob” Robert, 78, of New Martinsville, WV died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at his home. Bob was born December 6, 1931 in New Martinsville, WV the son of the late John Robert Yeager, Sr. and Helen Irene Hoskinson Rollins. He was a retired welder at Ormet with thirty-five years of service, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War where he served as Sergeant First Class of the 64th Tank Battalion of the Third Armor Division, member of New Martinsville Moose Lodge #931, American Legion Post #28, an avid bowler, member of the New Martinsville Bowling Hall of Fame and member of the Steelton Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Harrison and Nadie Nolan Hoskinson who raised him and a brother, Charles "Chuckie" William Rollins. Surviving are his wife of fifty-four years, Nell Lemasters Yeager; son, R. Jay (Barbie) Yeager of Reader; two daughters, Brenda Ketchem of Parkersburg, WV and Kathy (Deral) Phillips of Morgantown, WV; two brothers, Thomas (Barbara) Rollins of Warsaw, OH and Rex (Donna) Yeager of Burlington, KY; sister-in-law, Betty Rollins of Napa, CA; seven grandchildren, Corey Yeager, Ryan Yeager, Chris Ketchem, Stacy (Jacob) Stout, Tyler Ketchem, Elijah Phillips and Emily Phillips and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, 1224 S. Bridge St., New Martinsville, where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010 with nephew, Larry Lemasters officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV. The Honor Guards of Sistersville, Paden City and New Martinsville will conduct full graveside military rites.
