Obituary for David G. Yoho

Yoho, David G., 77, of Paden City, WV died Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at his daughter’s home surrounded by his family. David was born November 14, 1932 on Slider Run in Tyler County, WV the son of the late Lloyd and Blanche Heslep Yoho. He was current Commander and former Sergeant of Arms for American Legion Post 86 in Paden City, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries 2281 in Paden City, Tyler County Shrine club, B.O.P.E. Sistersville Elks No. 333, Wetzel Lodge No. 39 A.F. & A.M., lifetime member of Sistersville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6327, Shriners of North America, Order of Moose Lodge # 931, member of St. Mary’s Golf Club, former EMT, served on the Honor Guard assisting with several military funerals, U.S. Army veteran in the Korean War, retired security guard for Ormet and member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette I. Hizer Yoho in 2002. Surviving are two sons, David Mark Yoho and his wife, Stephanie of Reno, OH and Daniel Grant Yoho and his wife, Beth of Middlebourne, WV; two daughters, Stephanie Jean Thomas and her husband, Ray of New Martinsville, WV and Veronica Jill McKelvey and her husband, Randy of Clarington, OH; brother, Lloyd B. Yoho and his wife, Carol of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; two sisters, Mary Jane Baker of New Martinsville, WV and Pat Shellabarger and her husband, Fred of Hannibal, OH; seven grandchildren, Christopher Mark Yoho, David Wayne Yoho, Amanda Jo Thomas, Monica Danielle Goddard, Jessica Dawn Goddard, Kimberly Yoho and Rebakah Yoho, seven great grandchildren, special friends, Peggy and Janice Eddy and Mike Laugh and several nieces and nephews. Friends received Noon – 8 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville where funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2010 with Niles Hissom officiating. Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV. Masonic services will be conducted by Wetzel Masonic Lodge #39 A.F. & A.M. and full military services will be conducted by the American Legion and VFW Honor Guards.
