Obituary for Helen I. "Ike" Ott

Ott, “Ike” Helen I., 80, of Paden City passed away July 21, 2008 at her home. She was born February 1, 1928 in Sistersville, WV, daughter of the late Clarence and Maude Price Stine. Helen was a former employee of the Paden City Pottery and Universal Pottery of Cambridge, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Sistersville, American Legion Auxiliary of Paden City, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and member of the Women of the Moose of New Martinsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W Ott in 1987; granddaughter, Jaimy Ott in 1995; one sister and two brothers. Surviving are her children, Dixie (Jim) Chamberlin of Auburn, CA; Bill (Debbie) Ott of Fairmont, WV and Susan Spence of Paden City, WV; four grandchildren, Jarrod Ott of Morgantown, WV, Kelsi and Adam Wood of Paden City, WV and Richard Chamberlin of Auburn, CA; sisters, Estrel Tennant of Sistersville, WV and Wilda Smith of Weirton; a special family friend, Shirley Kemp of Bethany, WV. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Paden Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve DeLay officiating. Interment Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City, WV. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Journey Hospice, 114 Wells St., Sistersville, WV 26175 or Ronald McDonald House, 841 Country Club Dr., Morgantown, WV 26505.
