Obituary for Robert Gene "Bob" Price
Price, Robert “Bob” G., 81, of Paden City, WV died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at VA Rehab Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
“Bob” was born August 20, 1933 in Wheeling, WV son of the late Robert K. (Margaret) Price and Barbara (Frank) Jones Sattler.
He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952-1960, a retired supervisor for Bayer Corp with thirty-five years of service, member of Wetzel Lodge No. 39 A.F. &A.M., RAM Chapter #21, Osiris Shrine Wheeling, Arab Patrol Past Capt., Legion of Honor, Directors Staff, Tri-County Shrine Club – past President, Secretary and Treasurer, Indian Patrol, Jesters #13 Wheeling, OES Chapter #31 St. Mary's, Amaranth #7 Sistersville, Tyler County Shrine Club, Paden City American Legion Post 86, Paden City Eagles Aerie No. 2281 and volunteer over 20 years with Paden City EMS.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Steven Jack Price, William Reynolds Price and Judith Kay Haught.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, Janie Huggins Price; children, Robert D. (Karen Bowling) Price of Lusby, MD, William Gregory (Cindy Pettit) Price of Glen Dale, WV and Leesa K. (Bruce) Scott of Marysville, OH; four sisters, Patricia Justinian, Roberta (Dick) Reardon, Peggy (Roger) Pryor and Nancy (David) Lively; two brothers, Ralph (Shirley) Price and Timothy (Ronda) Price; seven grandchildren, Richard Wood, Ash Rae (Michael) McCarthy, Valerie Price, Amanda (Michael) Kinney, Jessica Scott, Kimberly Price and “Robbie” Price; two great grandchildren, Benjamin McCarthy and Mason Wood and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City.
Interment to be held at the convenience of the family.
OES Chapter 31 will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in Bob’s name, to Friends of the Pittsburgh Fisher House, 3945 Forbes Ave #240, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
