Obituary for James Lon "Jim" Amos

James “Jim” Lon Amos, 75, of Paden City, WV died Monday, November 23, 2015 at Wetzel County Hospital.

James was born April 4, 1940 in Tyler County, WV son of the late Clem, Sr. and Lula Mercer Amos.

He was retired from Bayer Corporation and member of the Paden City Christian Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clem, Jr. and Burl and a sister, Gertrude Davis.

Surviving are his loving wife of fifty-five years, Shirley Maidens Amos; two children, Jeffrey S. Amos and his wife, Carol of New Martinsville, WV and Kelly J. Clarke and her husband, Steve of Jacksonville, NC; brother, Edward V. Amos, Sr. of Sistersville, WV; sister, Jane Zantene of Bowerston, OH; four grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Casey Jones, Chelsea Nestasie and Emily Amos; one great-grandson, Trey Jones and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Paden City Christian Church with Jeff White officiating.

Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in James’ name, to Paden City Christian Church, 105 E Main St., Paden City, WV 26159.
