David “Kip” Keith Jobes, 59, of Massillon, OH formerly of New Martinsville, WV departed this life Saturday, January 2, 2016 in Suma Barberton Hospital in Barberton, OH.

David was born May 12, 1956 in New Martinsville, WV, the youngest son of the late Dewar and Freda (Blair) Jobes.

“Kip” was a construction worker with Local 1149, although he became handicapped after suffering some medical problems, he still enjoyed many activities, he loved shooting pool and boating, spending time with his family and friends, traveling, a big WV Mountaineer football fan and a Christian by faith.

Surviving are his daughter, Shena (Chuck) Rinehart of Massillon, OH; brother, Michael (Patti) Jobes of New Martinsville, WV; sister, Teresa (Tim) Goodrich of Elyria, OH; two half-brothers, Thomas and Brian Jobes both of New Martinsville, WV; half-sister, Julie Ann Gump of New Martinsville, WV; grandson, Clay Jobes; ex-wife and good friend, Betty Judge and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where funeral service will be held 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016.

Interment to be held at the convenience of the family in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery of Tarapine Ridge in Wetzel County, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made, in “Kip’s” name, to Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV 26155.
