Obituary for Glenn Allen Koerber

Glenn A. Koerber, 83, of Paden City, WV died Friday, April 28, 2017 while at Genesis in New Martinsville.

Glenn was born August 17, 1933 in Paden City, WV; son of the late Herman R. and Ida Marie (Vogel) Koerber.

He was a retired pot man for the former Ormet Corp, past President of the Paden City Lions Club, veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars, past President and Treasurer of Paden City Athletic Association, long-time statistician of the Wildcat Basketball and Football, attended Paden City High School and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1951 and member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Paden City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Herman Koerber; two sisters, Bea Koerber and Verna May Richmond and a grandson, Robert Gatian, II.

Surviving are his wife of sixty years, Katy Mae (Anderson) Koerber; daughter, Krista (Rex) Boltz of Sardis, OH; three sons, Brent Koerber of Columbus, OH, Todd (Jeff Efaw) Koerber of Columbus, OH and Kurt (Michael Nashwinter) Koerber of Cape Coral, FL; two grandchildren, Aimee Gatian and Nathaniel Gatian; two great grandchildren, Damien and Rydge Gatian and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City. A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Paden City, WV with Rev. Kent Durig as celebrant.

Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.

Honor Guard service to be conducted at the graveside.
