Garry E. Beckett, 79, of Paden City, WV died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at his home while surrounded by his family.

Garry was born September 12, 1938 in Gladwin, Michigan, son of the late Arnold and Juanita (Fisher) Beckett.

He was a retired electrician for the former Ormet Corp, owner of Bee Electric Heating and Cooling in New Martinsville, served in the Army Reserves, member of the Pine Grove Sportsman Club, the Happy Trail Billiard Club in Arizona, and the Paden City Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-eight years, Peggy (Robison) Beckett; two daughters, Denise (JD) Greene of Concord, NC and Debra (Heather May) Beckett of New River, AZ; brother, Jack A. (Irmagard) Beckett of Georgetown, TX; three grandchildren, Joshua, Kirsten and Jacob Greene and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City, where service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2017 with Dale Dudgeon officiating.

Burial in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.

Family is asking that memorial contributions be made, in Garry’s name, to Paden City Christian Church, 105 E Main St., Paden City, WV 26159 or a cancer research foundation of donor’s choice.
