Gary Lee Ward, 82, of Paden City, WV passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 at his home.

Gary was born March 16, 1935 in Paden City, WV; son of the late Harvey and Thelma (Lehew) Ward.

He retired after thirty-four years of service from the former First Federal Savings and Loan in Sistersville. Gary was a proud graduate from Paden City High School Class of 1953, the second class to graduate from Paden City High. He enjoyed his home away from home, Seneca Lake; other things he enjoyed fishing, boating, carpentry, making Tiffany lamps and being a grand collector of “everything.”

Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Phyllis (Potts) Ward; son, Joe (Donna) Ward of Paden City, WV; daughter, Lois (Brian) Burgess of South Carolina and three grandchildren, Emily (Jordan) Reed, Taylor Burgess and Anna Burgess and his favorite Boston Terrier, Sophie.

At Gary’s request there will be private services held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Paden Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are to be made to Journey Hospice, 314 S Wells St., Sistersville, WV 26175.
