Obituary for Helena Beatrice Evans (Anderson)

Helena Beatrice Evans age 68, of New Martinsville, WV passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Genesis Center, New Martinsville, West Virginia. Helena was born October 3, 1949 in Moundsville, West Virginia, the daughter of David and Charlotte (Welling) Anderson. Helena graduated from Valley High School in 1967 in West Virginia. On May 6, 1978 she married Wayne Evans in Richfield Twp, Michigan.

Helena enjoyed crocheting, shopping, and she was an excellent seamstress, making wedding and bridesmaid dresses. Helena also had a passion to travel to different places in United States.

Helena is survived by her daughter, Marla (Tradd) Vauter of Brown City; brother, David (Jimmy) Anderson of Philadelphia, PA; sisters, Mary Ellen White of New Martinsville, West Virginia, and Linda Lee (Clark) Perkins of Pence Spring, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Shirley (Gil) Dennis of Attica; brother-in-law, Jim (Diana) Evans of Emmett; step-son, Craig (Lisa) Evans and family of Chilton, Wisconsin; 4 grandchildren, Morgaen (Greg) Fraaza, Justine (Ray) Vauter, Mikenzi Vauter and Brayden Vauter and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Evans.

Memorials may be directed to the family to be used at their discretion.

The family will be present for visitation on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Blackburn Chapel Martin Funeral Home in North Branch, Michigan. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM all at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Helena will be laid to rest next to her husband Wayne at Westlawn Cemetery, North Branch. Pastor William Perkins will officiate.
