Obituary for Wanda Lee Slider (Henthorn)
Wanda Lee Slider, 78, of Paden City, WV died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 while at Wetzel County Hospital.
Wanda was born August 28, 1939 in Paden City, WV; daughter of the late Ralph and Ruby (Billiter) Henthorn.
She was a homemaker, loved crafting and gardening and member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Slider (1992); sister, Deloris “Sis” Merckle and an infant brother, Roger Henthorn.
Surviving are her son, Darrin Slider and his girlfriend, Sally Copp of Stephens City, VA; two sisters, Phyllis Talbott and Linda (Lester) Christman both of Sardis, OH and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City where service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018 with Niles Hissom officiating.
Interment to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made, in Wanda’s name, to Paden City Vol. Fire Dept., 208 W Main St., Paden City, WV 26159.
