Nora V. Blake, 86, of New Martinsville, WV died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 while at Wheeling Hospital.

Nora was born December 16, 1931 in New Martinsville, WV; daughter of the late Amos and Mary Elizabeth (Minger) Loy.

She was a former aide at Lewis Wetzel Care Center, retired glass selector for the former Dazell-Viking Glass, professionally raised birds, loved to crochet and her animals and member of the First Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lloyd Blake.

Surviving are her daughter, Joyce (Mike) Durig of New Martinsville, WV; three brothers, Wilbert (Edna) Loy, Earl Loy and Kent Loy all of New Martinsville, WV; two sisters, Wilma Baker of New Martinsville, WV and Berneda (Mike) Wilson of Wilmington, NC; two granddaughters, Shana Durig and Carissa Durig; faithful canine, Benji and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 11 a.m. to time of service at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, with Pastor Dan Bet officiating.

Interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Nora’s name, to Wetzel County Animal Shelter, 399 Mollahan Dr., New Martinsville, WV 26155.
