Obituary for Doyne "Barney" Byron Clark Jr.

Doyne “Barney” Byron Clark, Jr., 64, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland.

Barney was born April 4, 1954 in New Martinsville, WV; son of the late Doyne Byron Clark and the late Eleanor Mae Smith Leu.

He was a graduate of Magnolia High School, a longtime employee of Ormet and was an active member in the Moose Lodge 931. Barney was a true son of New Martinsville – he grew up a Blue Eagle and loved his Mountaineers. He was an avid outdoorsman, had a lifelong interest in horses and a general zest for life. He was also known to cut a rug a time or two on the weekends.

Barney is survived by his children, Travis Byron (Jessica) Clark of Randolph, VT, Renee Christine (Jimmy) Clark of Upper Arlington, OH, and Jesse Dalton Clark of Sumter, SC; two grandchildren, Avery Allan Durr and Jaden Michael Luken of Upper Arlington, OH; and seven sisters, Linda Keller (Al) Hedrick, Barbara (Dave) Bosley, Debbie Tyler, Rebecca Deffenbaugh Stoker (Pat) Honrath, Patricia (Earl) Snider, Jane Schlegel, and Chris (Gordon) Henger.

Friends and family will be received Friday 4-8 p.m. at Jarvis Funeral Home, 1224 S. Bridge Street, New Martinsville, WV, and Saturday 10a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery.
