Gale “Dennis” Lively, Jr., 66, of New Martinsville, WV passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 04, 2018 with family by his side.

Dennis was born April 14, 1952 in New Martinsville, WV; son of the late Gale Denver Lively, Sr. and Fannie (Tisher) Lively Raper.

He enjoyed singing and writing songs, writing books and using computers – especially web designs.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step-father, Robert Raper and sister, Carolyn Sue Redding.

Surviving are his wife, whom he has been with for twenty-five years, Cheryl (Bailey) Lively; daughter, Jessica (John) Ischy; two sons, Bobby (Dani) Lively of Chicago, IL and Ryan Lively of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Daniel and Jaedyn; three brothers, Rod (Ron) Lively of Gallatin, TN, Jeff Raper of St. Marys, WV and Michael Raper of Johnson City, TN; mother-in-law, Karen Bailey and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 4-8 p.m., Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV.
