Sharon Maye Midcap, 67, of Proctor, WV died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 while at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, OH.

Sharon was born October 29, 1950 in Moundsville, WV; daughter of the late John and Lucy May (Blake) Gorby.

She was a retired loan officer for the former Budget Finance Company, member of the Red Hat Society, past member of the Rebekah Lodge, hobbies included growing flowers and watching the Mountaineers, Ohio State and the Steelers. As a youth she attended Antioch Christian Church and later placed her membership at the Proctor Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Midcap in 2016.

Surviving are her two children, Danny (Jill) McKinney and Rebecca (Phillip) Voight; three grandchildren, Phillip (Bryton) Voight, Jon (Adrian) Voight and Carevea (Justin) O’Neal; two and a half great grandchildren, Ethan O’Neal, Colt Satterfield and in November she adds Mason Voight; three friends who she loved like sisters, Bonnie Shannon, Linda Harris and Barbara Palmer and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018 with Lemoyne Horner officiating.

Interment to follow in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery.
