Obituary

John Edward “Ed” Kelley, 86, of Kent, WV died Saturday, December 22, 2018 while at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

Ed was born May 16, 1932 in Dundalk, MD, son of the late Jehu Edwin and Hilda Mae (Wallace) Kelley.

He was a retired pells loader for PPG, a US Marine Corp serving in Korea, enjoyed hunting and fishing, member of NRA and the Steelton Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Rine) Kelley and brother, David L. Kelley.

Surviving are two sons, Doug (Denise) Kelley and Alan Kelley; daughter, Cheryl (Garen) Blake; five grandchildren, Mark (Misty) Blake, Brian (Marcy) Blake, Christina (Jim) Ward, Stacey (Ryan) Williams and Izzy (Sharon) Martinez; seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 3-6 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 with Ed Melott officiating. Burial in Northview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Ed’s name, to Steelton Church of Christ, 69 E Thistle Dr., New Martinsville, WV 26155.
