Obituary for Mary Catherine Van Camp
Mary Catherine Van Camp, 92, of Fuquay Varina, NC formerly of Paden City, WV died Saturday, January 19, 2019 at her daughter’s home.
Mary was born August 12, 1926 in New Martinsville, WV; daughter of the late William Albert and Ethel Mae (Harmon) Yager.
She was a homemaker, loved cooking, sewing, gardening and in later years adult coloring. She colored many beautiful pictures and cards that she gave to many family and friends and a member of Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph VanCamp; granddaughter, Kelly Kemp Witschey; son-in-law, William "Butch" Estel and siblings, John Yeager, William Yeager, Erman “Abe” Yeager, Ray Yeager, Lee Yager, Cora Mae Tenney and Mabel Wyke.
Surviving are her son, Keith VanCamp of Paden City, WV; daughter, Carol Estel of Fuquay Varina, NC; two grandchildren, Darren (Vicki) Kemp of Summerfield, NC and Kerry (Steve) Finch of Angier, NC; ten great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 4-8 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 with Dale Dudgeon officiating. Burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City.
