Obituary for Naoma Madelyn Jones (Burlingame)

Naoma Madelyn Burlingame Jones, 86, of New Martinsville, WV was reunited with her husband on February 16, 2019 while at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, WV.

Naoma was born October 17, 1932 in New Martinsville, WV; daughter of the late John A. and Blanche N. (Allen) Burlingame, Sr.

She was co-owner of the former Burlingame Motor Lodge for fifteen years and co-owner of the Wishing Well for six years, former member of the Red Hats, did Style Shows for the Band Patrons for several years, charter and former member of the Quota Club, loved to travel and has visited all fifty states, loved her children and grandchildren and was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church which later became New Martinsville United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Jones; brother, John Burlingame and sister, Mary Jo Burton.

Surviving are her daughter, Alana (Dr. James) Campbell; two sons, David (Kelly) Jones and Brian (Jan) Jones all reside in New Martinsville, WV; sister, Linda (Bob) Roberts of New Martinsville, WV; eight grandchildren, Alicia (Maynard) Orbeta, Erinn (John) Parks, Cody (Johnna) Campbell, Lauren Jones, Whitney Jones, Matthew (Amy) Jones, Drew Jones and Michael (Meighan) Jones; four great grandchildren, Owen Orbeta, Madelyn Parks, Rhett Parks, Camila Pomalaza and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2019 with Pastor Stephen Rector officiating. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery.
