Obituary for Patricia Ann "Pat" Racer (Kraus)
Patricia “Pat” Ann Racer, 89, of New Martinsville, WV left this world on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at her home while surrounded by family.
Pat was born December 26, 1929 in Warwood, WV; daughter of the late George A and Mabel R. (Pyles) Kraus.
She was a retired office clerk for PPG, a homemaker and member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in New Martinsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Racer; sister, Ruth Shields and step-granddaughter, Nicole Schoolcraft.
Surviving are three sons, Charles D. (Barbara) Racer, II of Paden City, WV, Stephen P. (Susan) of Friendly, WV and Joseph M. Racer of India; two daughters, Therese J. (Parnell) Schoolcraft and Cecilia A. (Jim) Wetzel both of New Martinsville, WV; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville.
A rosary service will be held at 7:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11a.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Symeon Galazka officiant. Burial to follow in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City, WV.
Memorial contributions are to be made to Catholic Charities, 21 Rosary Rd., New Martinsville, WV 26155.
