Obituary for Barbara Joyce Massey (Steward)
Barbara Joyce Massey, 75, of Paden City, WV died Monday, February 25, 2019 at her home.
Barbara was born May 2, 1943 in Sistersville, WV; daughter of Juanita (Cooper) Steward and the late James A. Steward.
She was a homemaker, she loved cooking, walking and shopping and last attended the Paden Fork Christian Chapel.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, William Scott Jacobs; brother, James “Pete” Steward.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her significant other of twenty years, Theodore L. “Ted” Sawyer of Reader, WV; son, Wm E. “Jay” (Rhonda) Jacobs of Paden City, WV; four daughters, Gina Jacobs of Winchester, TN, Radonna (James) Jacobs Newbrough of Sistersville, WV, Carla Massey of Oviedo, FL and Maddilyn Sawyer of Morgantown, WV; two brothers, Bradley (Shirley) Steward of Pueblo, CO and Donald (Kay) Steward of Sistersville, WV; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; life-long best friend “sister”, Lee Boni of Chuluota, FL and like kind daughter, Brenda Boni Procell and the extended Boni family and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
