Dennis Eugene Isaacs, 67, of New Martinsville, WV was called to umpire a greater game Tuesday, March 19, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Dennis was born February 7, 1952 in New Martinsville; son of Dorothy (Wagner) Isaacs and the late Paul E. Isaacs.
He was a retired electrician from Ormet, loved being a baseball umpire, umpired for the WVSSAC, asked to umpire at Coopertown New York for the Baseball Hall of Fame, graduate of Magnolia High School ’70 and WVU School of Business and a Christian by faith.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of thirty-five years, Peggy (Lipscomb) Isaacs; son, Ryan (Kimberly) Isaacs and daughter, Jaki Isaacs both of New Martinsville, WV; brother, Jim (Deaner) Isaacs of New Martinsville, WV; six grandchildren, Alyson, Aaliyah, Audrey, Annalisa, Ariel and Tyler.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2019. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Sistersville, WV.
