Charles “Chuck” E. Scott, 88, of New Martinsville, WV died Friday, April 26, 2019.

He was born November 12, 1930 in Lebanon, OH; son of the late Joseph and Alzie (Ferrell) Scott.


Charles was a retired laborer for the former Ormet, a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War, he was a member of New Martinsville Moose #931, former member of the Sistersville Elks, loved mowing grass and member of New Martinsville United Methodist Church.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace (Winland) Scott in 2016; son, Timothy Scott; Granddaughter Linda Bagenstos and seven siblings, Denzel, Melvin, Jack, Bonnie, Virginia, Betty and Marge.


Surviving are his son, David (Judy) Scott of Lenox, MI; two daughters, Charlene (Tim) Morando of St. John’s, FL and Linda Scott of Delray, FL; step-daughter, Donna (Darrell) Ashenhart of New Martinsville, WV; nine granddaughters, Jennifer Scott, Lori Scott, Erin (Andrew) Capezzera, Angela (Philippe) Singer, Rachelle Ashenhart (Shane), Brittany (Peter) Ashenhart Nunez, Heather (Jeremy) Stacey, Haley Bagenstos, Brooke Bagenstos; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.


Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV. He will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors funeral services will be held 1p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
