Bernard “Butch” C. Coleman, 80, of Clarington, OH died at his home Tuesday, May 14, 2019 while surrounded by his family.
Bernard was born June 25, 1938 in Clarington, OH; son of the late of Bernard W. and Alma (Harrison) Coleman.
He was an employee of the former Ormet Corp with thirty-one years and Superintendent of the Ohio and Lee Water Authority, a veteran of the U.S. Army reserve; member of the American Legion Post #760 in Hannibal for fifty-three years and New Martinsville Moose Lodge #931. He also enjoyed boating and fishing and was a member of Hannibal United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae (McMullen) Coleman and infant son, Kenny Coleman.
Surviving are son, Bernard “Mike” (Kristal) Coleman of Clarington, OH; three daughters, Deanna (John) Lawrence of Temperance, MI, Denise Young of Holland, OH and Darlene (Michael) Schultheis of Clarington, OH; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
At Butch’s request there will be only graveside services at 1 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery near Hannibal, OH.
