Donnie L. Rose, 78, of New Mart insville, WV died Sunday, July 7, 2019 while at Wheeling Hospital.

Donnie was born March 26, 1941 in Tyler County, WV; son of the late Lloyd Elmer and Edna Irene (Midcap) Rose.

He was a retired maintenance worker for the former Ormet Corp.; loved bowling, Bluegrass music, music shows and car races and a Methodist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy (Harrison) Rose and brother, Howard Rose.

Surviving are his wife, Glenda J. (Hall) Rose; two sons, Jeffery (Rachel) Rose and Steven (Felicia) Rose both of New Martinsville, WV; step-son, Jeffery Alderman of Wheeling, WV; grandchildren, Rebecca Rose and Brittney Rose of Pine Grove, WV, Kassidy (Kyle) Lancaster of Paden City, WV and Corey Edgar of Martins Ferry, OH, Ashley Alderman of Martins Ferry, OH and Jeffery Alderman of Wheeling, WV; three great grandchildren, Lincoln, Gideon and Jaden; two sisters, Dorothy Rose of Texas and Viola (Alvin) Garfinkle of FL; brother, Terry (Susan) Rose of AL; sister-in-law, Barbara L. Rose of Proctor, WV; special niece, Rhonda (Joe) Longwell and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend, Carl Sprowl and his devoted canine, Molly.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2019 with Pastor Bruce Taylor officiating. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville.
