Obituary for C. Levi Wood

Charles “Levi” E. Wood, 31, of New Martinsville, WV died Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Sistersville General Hospital.

Levi was born December 31, 1987 in New Martinsville, WV; son of Tony L. and Rose Ann (Wood) Baker.

He was an equipment operator for I.U.O.E. Local 132, enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping and shooting at the gun range, he was a member of Wetzel Masonic Lodge No. 39 A.F. & A.M., Nemesis Shrine Temple and Tyler County Shrine Club, an organ donor and attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Sistersville, WV.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Imogene Wood; paternal grandparents, Donald and Virginia Baker; aunt, Deborah Henderson and uncle, Bobby Hall.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his girlfriend, Haley White of New Martinsville, WV; two half-sisters, Tabitha (Tim) Ruckman O’Bannon of VA and Stacie Ruckman of WV; maternal grandfather, David Wood of Wileyville, WV; two nieces; three nephews and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends received 2-8 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S. Bridge St., New Martinsville, where service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019 with Fr. Brian Crenwelge officiating. Burial to follow in the Wood Cemetery on his grandfather’s farm near Wileyville, WV.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made, in Levi’s name, to Nemesis Shrine Temple, 244 Watson Road, Parkersburg, WV 26101.
