Obituary for Lavena Daye Keenan - Stoneking (Barr)

Lavena Daye Keenan Stoneking, 80, of New Martinsville, WV went to meet her Savior on Monday, July 15, 2019 while in Fairmont, WV.

Daye was born January 25, 1939 in Hundred, WV; daughter of the late Garrison and Mary Pauline (Teagarden) Barr.

She was a homemaker, well known for her homemade fudge, fried bacon for the FFA Ham and Bacon Show for several years, enjoyed crafting and tole-painting, volunteer as an aide for New Martinsville Ambulance Service and member of the Proctor Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert H. Keenan; second husband, Charlie Stoneking; daughter, Sherry Lynn Keenan; two infant brothers, William Bruce Barr and Charles Willard Barr; sister, Hilda Morris and her husband, Norman E. Morris; brother-in-law, Tom Jolliff.

Surviving are her daughter, Debbie (Bobby) Roach of Monumental, WV; granddaughters, Sara Beth (Jonathan) Carpenter and April Moellendick both of Barrackville, WV; two great grandsons, Logan and Alex; brother, Harley Barr of Hundred, WV; three sisters, Mildred (Donald) Cole of Hundred, WV, twin sister, Laura (Norman) Williams of Wileyville, WV and Lucille Jolliff of Linn, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV where services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2019. Burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV.
