Obituary

Donald C. Beisel, 76, of Duffy, OH went to be with his wife, Barbara (Null) Beisel on Sunday, July 28, 2019 while at Wetzel County Hospital.

Donald was born March 31, 1943 in New Martinsville, WV; son of the late Carl A. and Violet K. (Lively) Beisel.

He was a retired welder and foreman for Ironwork Local 549; enjoyed being outdoors as evident by his bountiful garden each year, loved being on his farm, enjoyed hunting and attended the Duffy Church of God.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Smittle.

Surviving are two daughters, Dawn (Ryan) Yeater of New Martinsville, WV and Dachelle “Dee” (Rickey) Carman of Sardis, OH; two sons, Steven (Kristy) Beisel of Clarington, OH and Jason Beisel of Duffy, OH; brother, Charles ( Bonnie) Gehring of Bessemer City, NC; two sisters, Shelby Thomas and Carolyn Potts both of Hannibal, OH; twelve grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Owens, Bryan (Vanessa) Owens, Kaitlyn (Molly Hardway) Owens, Autumn (Tim) Oldfield, Taylar Beisel, Gaberial Beisel, Gunnar Carman, Brooke Carman, Jason Beisel, Jr., Kalleigh Beisel, Traeh Beisel and Halee Beisel; nine great grandchildren, Jayden, Brycen, Bryleigh, Kale, Wyatt, Micah and Evann Owens, Ticen Carman and Wyatt Schmidt and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2019. Burial to follow in the Harter Cemetery in Hannibal, OH.

Sorry to hear of Don's passing. So many fond memories of our childhood days in Duffy and in later years the privilege of iron working with him. He was one of the hardest working men I have known. I recall many times day after day he had worked 8-10 hours, he would then meet Peanut at their family garden site where she would have his supper prepared. Then they would tend the garden till dark. He took pride and honor in all things he did. I will always cherish his friendship. May God provide comfort and peace during this time of mourning.

So very sorry I rember so many fun times with all of us together yes ago before everyone starts passing away we had so very many fun times so so many with all u guys peanut Donnie boobie earl ike Bob n Jewell Juanita n Sonny n all of us here in Charleston love u guys many prayers to u all
