John O. Hoskins, 85, Clarington, OH died Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Wetzel County Hospital.

John was born November 17, 1933 in Paden City, WV; son of the late Joseph Martin and Alda Virginia (Noland) Hoskins.

He was a retired glass worker for the former Rodefer Bros. glass factory, a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War, a former Township Trustee, member of the New Cumberland VFW Post 3526 and a Protestant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Dawn (Early) Hoskins and seven siblings, Ethel, Mary, Wilma, Clara, Betty, Joe and Wayne.

Surviving are two sons, John (Peggy) Hoskins, Jr. of Cameron, OH and Scottie (Tina) Hoskins of Clarington, OH; four daughters, Debbie (Dave) Duggan of Rhode Island, Donna Jo (Brian Harper) Giles of Paden City, WV, Dixie (Steven) Demchak of Woodsfield, OH and Denzy (Russell Goddard) Hoskins of Clarington, OH; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At John’s request there will be no services.

Memorial contributions may be made, in John’s name, to any Veterans organization.
