Obituary for John Michael McSweeney
John Michael McSweeney, 57, of New Martinsville, WV died Thursday, December 5, 2019.
John was born October 31, 1962 in Clarksburg, WV; son of the late John and Alta (Bailey) McSweeney.
He was a security guard for Covestro, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, doing activities outdoor and various sports.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a dear friend, Terry Ball.
Surviving are his wife of thirty-three years, Cindy (Westbrook) McSweeney; son, Gavan (Rebekah Boyles) of Fairmont, WV; daughter, Ashley (Bill) Longwell of Ripley, WV; two sisters, Teresa (Joe) Roby of St. Marys, WV and Mary (Mike) Gray of Wytheville, VA; two grandchildren, Coleson and Trey and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
At John’s request private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Victory Cemetery near Alvy, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made, in John’s name, to charity of donor’s choice.
